I'm at a loss.

 The only thing that excites me is waiting for a  thunderstorm.  And falling asleep.  I don't know where to go from here.  Chatting with a few of the Residents here at Independence Village of Plymouth is comforting but not lasting.  I'm not a joiner nor a self-motivator and that is sad.  I want to go back to what I loved doing, restoring chipped crystal.  But alas I couldn't bring my glass repairing machine and I gave up my car for aging reasons and no, I wasn't happy but I bent to wiser voices.  Hopefully, I'll pull out of this funk.  I hope it happens soon.  It is my problem and I must solve it...........marge.

I'm only 84, but.

 I'm trying to accept this 'older' age but I'm having difficulty.  The wonderful people I sit with during dinner are all in their 90's.  I so want to be like them.  They are the most current, upbeat people one would hope to meet.  At least two that I know, are 100.  No more can be said.  I get a little greener each day.  May I soon discover their secrets.............marge

 

Oh Pennie, I miss you so much!

 You were my shining example of how to live and enjoy life.  You were cheerful to no end, you read voraciously and always a quick quip.  I sit here and stare at all the wonderful books I have amassed and yet not one will I pick up.  You were a weekly swimmer, just because it was good for you.  You had wonderful family and friends all over the place.  And always had time for them.  Weren't you a knitter and a crocheter also?  You were always remembering what we did together in high school.  I hope you knew what a gem you were.  And still are a shining light to all of us.  I love you, Pennie...............marge

It is NOT to late!

 It is horrible to have one person, a probable psychotic AND his grown children a family of psychotics, with the possible exception of his youngest son.  People we cannot seem to save ourselves from this deadly happening.  We could if we can weed out the Senators who also have a leaning toward this self-centred sickness.  It is not understandable as to why this has happened.  What magical power does this one person hold over almost all of the Senate?  Of course, it's scary. People we voted for and trusted have betrayed our trust.  I'm not sure how, but we must stop this madness of the Senators.  We simply don't have a choice.  We either do it now or give up our Constitutional rights as we have known them since the beginning of our country.  Are you ready for the fight for our rights as we have known them?  If not, then we individuals have ourselves failed our Country................marge

The 2021 U.S. Senators dress like lions, but the similarity ends there!  I am so ashamed of the majority of U.S. Senators and sadly, they know why.  You are Cowardly Lion Wonders.  Is there a moral bone left in your bodies? You are making History, but your descendants will not read that with pride.  If there is a God, may he help us all understand your truly shameful actions?  I won't even ask you how you can sleep at night.  Obviously, it's not a problem for you.  To the Lowlifes who think you are SO intelligent and smart for tricking naive, teenage, girls into getting into your vehicle with you.  I guess you really don't know who the naive, dumb one is?  Apparently, you haven't looked into a mirror lately?  Your virginity is showing.  Look up the word, PATHETIC,  or better yet, get it tattooed on your arm or chest for the world to see................marge

Blocking the entrance way in an emergency.

 That is could and almost did happen outside our main dining room entranceway yesterday.  And why?  Because we were told it would make a problem with the table setters if we entered a few minutes early. But not a problem for Seniors, some of whom have difficulty standing for any length of time.  What seems like a simple solution to me would be to start the servers 10 minutes earlier, or tell us to come at 4:40 pm, not 4:30 pm.  Yes, we are a big enough number of residents that causes a temporary blockage, but it can be resolved!...............marge

What's good for the goose, is good for the gander.

 It caught my attention that some states are now proposing a law that young people, must undress from the waist down and expose themselves so the Reps. can decide for themselves if these young people are who they say they are!  I have a great idea, unless of course, the Reps, and others have a weak stomach. Yes, you know what I'm going to say.  Ok Representatives, start stripping.  It is your turn to prove to the world that you think this a wonderful future law!  We're waiting...............marge

I admit it.

 I'm not the swiftest person when it comes to analyzing the daily and weekly news.  It even has been thought by some, I may be in the beginning stages of  'dang, I can't think of the word 'Senior itis'?  But I shall put my thoughts out there anyway.  We now have two humongous groups in our Country who on a daily basis, are in panic and anxiety mode.  This is in itself, understandable.  Being black and getting in a car on a daily basis, is fearful for these people and totally understandable.  Being an Officer of the Law and stopping moving cars with a black driver has become ALMOST equally fearful.  Judgments of these two groups, mostly by Police Officers, have become flawed.  Now the question is, can these be corrected.  The answer frightens me.  Are we so deeply entrenched in these behaviors that we can't turn back?  I can't answer that, oh how I wish we could..................marge

These attacks on our government and our protectors.

 These attacks must stop.  How I don't know but stop they must.  The perpetrators appear to fall into three categories.   Those who think they are being heroic for whatever their twisted minds tell them, those who hope they get killed and want to go out in a blaze of glory with their name emblazoned in the history books, and finally, those who truly want to die quickly and this seems to them like the best way to do it.  We are a Nation of twisted minds.  These sick minds started somewhere and that is where we must look.  Were they young, teens, and upward or are they older men and women who have felt deprived and left out most of their lives?  The answers are out there, let's get busy and find them before disasters appear on a regular daily basis, resulting in the people in our nation becoming numb to it all.  Since we aren't as shocked when we read or see this happening yet again, we already are on a downward, sad path.  Wake up!  Wake up!...........marge

 You young people at the beaches, where are your brains? have you decided to follow trumph?  There you are, jumping on a stranger's car, a half dozen of you.  May your school recognize you, and expel you!  Then may your financial providers recognize you and stop any and all monies into your checking accounts!..............marge

A weekend at Miami beach.

 Oh, young people.  Be careful what you wish for.  Your parents most likely have saved for years to see you go to college and graduate.  It's their dream for you.  How you choose to spend your weekend, maybe the last time you have 'fun'.  Are you thinking about how they have sacrificed over the years?  Well, if they are smart, and I'm assuming they are, this is your last 'free' ride, a weekend at the beach.  I hope with all my heart, there will be no more 'free' tuitions, Zilch, none.  You have just shown them how little respect you have for them and all the sacrifices they've made for you.  So when you get back to your dorms or rentals, pack your bags, and if you don't have any money in your accounts, tough rocks.  If your parents are as strong as I think they are, you have received your last check.  And that is exactly what you deserve.  You want to be 'grown up' and on your own, well here you are.  How does it feel?..............marge

Don't try to catch yourself.

 Decades ago, my Mom told me about a friend who fell and fractured her wrist.  That stayed with me.  With a lot of thought, I determined that if one is going to fall, do it gently.  don't snicker, I truly believe it works!  I have fallen several times with no injuries except for maybe self-esteem.  I call it rolling with punches or how not to get hurt.  Rule number one, DON'T STIFFEN!  CRUMBLE!  This lets one able to go down gently. Really! Talk to your unconscious repeatedly about unexpected falling. and how to handle it. Convince yourself that 'collapsing' is the way to go.  Have you watched a baseball player slide into second base headfirst?  Now, why didn't they get hurt?  I  sure wouldn't try it!  And take the football player who is inches from a touchdown.  Does he go down?  No, he jumps into a high summersault and gets the touchdown after he was partially tackled.  I was about to get out of a car and forgot to put my leg out.  I fell softly onto the grass.  I still can't figure that one out lol!  Every bit helps not to get broken bones on the way down.  May I continue to fall safely,  I just did, about two hours ago..........marge

The Republican definition of 'guilty'.

Give us a break.

 To all of you 'mature' men who think you can innocently worm your way into any apparently older woman's hearts.  Guess what?  We are not nearly as dumb as you might think we are!  You follow quite the pattern.  1. divorced or widowed. 2. two teenage children.  3. Live out west but originally from overseas, or vice versa.  4.  We just want to chat.  And 4! by chance, where do you live??  That's the real opening line.  Do you understand how obvious and boring you are?  Well, you are.  Leave us alone and go find a real money producing job!  Adios!.............marge

What have we turned into?

 Were we always this mean, selfish and cruel?  If that isn't horrible enough, these people are going public!  They are almost bragging about not losing but winning by any means they can find that will give them what they want.  Remember those words, 'any means'.  The cruelty they use with a flicker of their arms goes beyond any kind of  'norm'.  It's not just hurting those they know, but hurting those they don't know.  They do not care about how many people and families they are destroying, these senators are offshoots of trumph, pure and simple.  Think about that long and hard.  Your children will end up paying the price..............marge
