You tell me

When you hear the following three words, carcass, remains and body, what comes to mind?  Does 'dead' ring a bell?  Why then do reporters and others when talking about someone deceased, always say 'dead body'?  There's no dead 'carcass' or dead 'remains', so why 'dead' body?............marge
