Nancy Grace, for shame

I feel Nancy Grace is a cruel hurtful person who does great damage to people who don't deserve it. To lay a huge guilt trip on a mother whose child died accidently is inexcusable. Remember too, this mother doesn't have the wealth of Nancy Grace. Let Nancy be locked in with her twins for one week with little or no assistance. Let her be almost solely responsible for their everyday care, food, medical, clothing and any other needs they may have for that week. Save us from the Nancy Graces of this world, please............marge

another intuitive genius........like me..........

I went to the corner store. While there, I picked up two ears of corn. Came time to check out. The young person on the other side of the counter looked perplexed. She then asked if I'd like three ears, instead of two. Now it was my turn to look perplexed. "No" I said. "Two are all I want". She then announced that they were six for $2.00. As I pondered as quickly as I could, the light popped on! Intuitive geniuses are NOT good at math! I did, however, reach the logical conclusion! (don't ask me how). The actual cost, is three for $1.00. I could do this! Rounding up, as stores do, making each ear, 34 cents! Oh the pride I felt....I also passed latin in high school over 50 years ago. Not by a lot though. Thank heavens for vocabulary tests, those were a life saver!.......marge

Dang those border crossers......

I was asked to vote yes, saying I'm in favor of the up coming Arizona law to take effect July 29, 2010. I have a problem with that. Besides, that law wouldn't help us in the Detroit area. We can't look at a Canadian and say "Ha"! You look a little, yes, a little different than my neighbor or I. We here in Michigan can only go by the difference in language. Then we have to be careful because they are good at disguising how they speak. They sound quite (U.S.) American. Their speech pattern is so similar as to be almost indistinguishable from ours. I was oot and aboot the other day and was almost certain I'd found one. Calling the police to check them out and being wrong would be most embarrassing eh?.........marge

Hurting your senior loved ones

I have senior friends in their nineties. They are in emotional pain. It appears that thinking, or unthinking relatives seem to be making these seniors wish God would take them sooner, rather than later. They are ordinary people who have lived extroadinarily long lives. One, only wishes to hear from her only child. That child, has chosen not to contact her. The other senior, listens while those about her squabble and bicker, putting her in an untenable position. She cries with sadness when I call her. She has a brain but no one will listen to her. She is afraid to speak up, afraid she might be put where she doesn't need or want to be. I want terribly to help them. I don't know how..............marge

Children's battlefield

I keep trying to find any explanation for the death of a child by gunfire. There just isn't one. Didn't know she was in the home? Should have. From watching the 'swat teams' on TV, the raids are well executed plans to catch the bad guy. The 'bad' guy in California, I believe, was fired upon as he held his toddler. Who died? The toddler. This is not an attack on police personnel in general. Some how, the planning is flawed. No policeman/woman would ever want to shoot/kill a child. Some indepth, really indepth, revamping of procedures or goals is in order. The sooner, the better.......marge
