Of all the people in the world

There are millions and millions of us who cannot fathom this man.  Some call him our President, but I don't.  He is unstable beyond words.  We all see that.  Maybe like a Bin laden?  The White House is full of poisoned people, and then you have McCain among others, one minute an honorable hero and next a mixed up veteran who goes back to supporting Trump.  Surely, someone, anyone can figure out the answer before its too late.  And when I say too late, I'm talking world wide destruction.  Every day my thoughts about Trump get darker and scarier.  I don't want to think this way.  For you that work in his cabinet and don't agree with him.  The time for silence is no more.  Let him go on and you won't have any career to think or worry about.  It even could result in your death but rest assured, you will go down as the American who saved the world.  Honor would be your middle name........................marge

I chose my punishment

Many years ago when they were quite young, was the last time I saw my two beautiful grandchildren.  They are now in their 20's.  My crime?  As their parents divorced, I sided with my ex son in-law.  Yes.  My heart has been broken, but I'd do it again.  I would like them to hear 'my truth'.  I've passed into my eighties so they and I may never get the chance to have peace.  They are beautiful, always in my heart and I will never stop loving them.........................marge

The inability to know.

 It says a lot about our culture and the raising of boys for many generations. Males, looking at Fraternities, gives one the sense that they really don't understand the lines separating the sexes and the mixture of youth, immaturity and no adult guidance in the frats. Even the girls grew up thinking the boys shenanigans was just a normal part of boy girl relationships. No one told them that certain behavior should not and cannot be accepted. Mind sets of both is a hard thing to change when its all they've known.  We may have to start over, beginning with the parents............marge

Judge Roy Moore

I don't know the man  or anything about him except for what I see on the 'news'.  I believe he's the first person of recent years who has been found guilty of a crime but was not charged, arrested or had a trial.  I didn't know our Constitution worked that way.  Isn't there supposed to be an unbiased jury of his peers or a Judge who gets to decide his fate after being charged?  Perhaps I missed that part where the charging and trial  took place.  About unbiased.  There's not an American citizen who hasn't heard of his supposed escapades.  So I'm not sure there can be a 'fair trial'.  Let us start using the laws of our land, not the information we hear on our computer and television.  When did we decide to push aside the Constitution written by our Forefathers?   Our Civil Rights are going to Hell and quickly........................marge

If we don't know by now...

We wonder why mass killings seemingly all men, continue and increase on a weekly basis.  Of all the mind studying to date, no one has a handle on it.  We teach our young men and now young women to not only operate but how to use assorted weapons.  Is it truly mental illness or sudden unknown anger? for reasons we haven't still don't seem to understand these take over.  Rage really has taken over society.  As an example, road rage.  Are those shooters so incensed they don't care if they go to jail for the rest of their lives, just because another driver does something selfish or stupid?  What stops their automatic reasoning abilities?  They must know they will be caught.  How can they not care about being locked up for many years?  When in custody, they realize their behavior was not reasonable or logical it seems.  To the guns, the biggest and best for them.  These people couldn't do their deed with knives.  Guns are the starting point and yes, let's blame the manufacturers.  Whether it's their fault or not.  A place to start.  Who owns guns and why is it terribly important, especially having them in their autos?  WE have some answers and reasons, but we don't seem to realize their importance...................marge

This newly formed phrase is missing.

'He has went' and 'it don't matter' drive me crazier than usual.  Now, used by even the most eminent newscasters is a two worded phrase.  I will type it for you but if there's a two minute pause, please excuse me.  It depends on how badly I gag as I write it.  What makes this phrase even worse, it replaces just one word where now two are required.  The sense of it is beyond me.  Ready?  16 people 'went missing' after going for a hike in the wilderness.  Or one, or two, it doesn't matter.  They all 'went missing'...Sigh.  For now I shall 'disappear'.......................marge

Maybe I judged too quickly

I started out thinking Colin Kaepernick didn't put much thought into his beginning actions.  He was just trying to get attention.  As I've listened to  civilians  and soldiers speak, I think I now better understand what he is trying to say.  He wasn't disrespecting the American flag or our National Anthem, It was and is his way to to get all of us to see the unjust and unfairness to people that goes on everyday.  We need to open our eyes and hearts to really see ourselves, and change.  We can do better.  We must do better...................marge

Cancer is very invasive and destructive to our body, even after the end of the treatment, your body is still fighting with yourself trying to reconstruct all the damage caused by radiation. Schools are being closed in Detroit and maybe elsewhere because of the heat.  If all these rich companies have decided to invest in Michigan, might they not have enough to put air conditioning in our Public Schools?  These children are our future business and creative people who someday might add to Detroit's success.  But will we ever know?......................marge

We sit and wait.

Many medical experts in the field of behavior have finally gone  public and spoken out against Trump.  These men and women have spend years studying and learning about the human mind. They've learned what makes it work and what happens when it doesn't in what we consider normal fashion.  They are risking their careers by going public.  Our Congressmen/women don't seem able to get the courage to do that.  We and the rest of the World sit in amazement at the inability of our own Country to stop this sick man.  Our Country wasn't founded on cowardice but the bravery of many Europeans who chose to come here and make more equality in all our lives, not I might add, to the inclusion of our Native Americans.  But that is another story.  I've written hundreds of letters as have so many other Americans.  Apparently we are not reaching the right people or anyone who has the power to change things.  You were elected to do a job that would benefit all of us.  I have so idea what you are waiting for.  Wouldn't you rather go down in history as brave souls,  not as a business person keeping your jobs secure?  Look deep into your hearts and souls.  Trump is incapable of doing that,  but  hopefully you are not.............................marge

4 a.m. Gripe session.

The fact that I have short hair, straighter than straw And I can't resist hacking at it has nothing to do with my complaints.   Honest.  A short while ago on one of the BIG news channels The camera caught the lovely lady quickly flicking her long, soft curled hair over her shoulder.  A majority of women newscasters have long wavy hair covering both front shoulders.  I don't know if they do it themselves or get it done  professionally just before going on the air.  I'm so busy looking at their perfectness hair and clothes wise, I miss half the news.  Now as to the Canadian female newscasters, more often than not, their hair is shorter, nicely combed and their outfits tell me they are ready to seriously broadcast the news.  No fashion show, they are their to do their job, and well they do. I greatly admire them.  If I can get out of this grumpy mood, I'll try, sooner or later but no promises, to do a more upbeat theme next time..............marge

It was so nice of our first couple to stop by Texas with words of encourage.  The 24 hour workers must have found it greatly gratifying.  Even if they haven't had sleep for several days.  They could rest while the first lady changed from her sky high heels to some tennis shoes.  For a moment there, I thought she was going to even do a little work.  Trump, with his age, did manage to wave a Texas flag and I'm sure, say a few words before heading back to D.C.  "tttthats all folks!................marge  P.S.  Is the first lady beautiful?  Absolutely yes.  Am I?.  I would be if I were prettier...............marge

An American Fairy Tale, or Horrible nightmare

Alright.   I know that's not nice but we're dealing with two Megalomaniacs about to get into an Olympic dueling match.  Actually they've already started.  The North Korean whose name is not on the tip of my tongue and the American (cough cough) President whose name is but I choose not to say it. The North Koreans are frightened to death by a heartless dictator who has killed his close relatives.  We Americans and probably the rest of the Western World, are frightened because our 'leader' may get us all killed.  I can understand why the North (and South) Koreans are petrified, but us?  What is our excuse?  I think we once stood as a proud nation, but not anymore.  We are ridiculed if silently by our allies.  We have shamed ourselves beyond words and continue to do so.  Is there no one among us who anymore has any courage?  Has our own Congress failed us?  Our own once precious Republic?................................marge

You're too stupid to realize it, or worse, you realize it and it's OK with you. And 2. Why and for how long is it OK for the patient to be in charge of the asylum? I don't know what I wasn't thinking these past few months. Every Monday through Friday There are red alert news flashes. Those serious newscasters, especially MSNBC and CNN are right there for their hourly warnings. But wait! It's Friday night and the weekend has started. All is calm. No interruptions or any warnings of any kind. Its boggles the mind how suddenly, for about 48 hours, the world is at peace. Perhaps Trump could write an executive order making it Saturday and Sunday seven days a week. He can do it with his magic pen and then show it to us all while sitting at his desk with all the Trump supporters smilingly standing behind him. Problem solved! I feel better now..........................marge

Congress did it right.

I'm so proud of the three Republicans who voted with their hearts and heads.  Tonight, the U.S. Congress defeated the attempt to repeal Obama Care and failed.  49-51.  Close but that only counts in horseshoes.  Trump's attempt to cause chaos the last couple of days with his ever ready monkey wrenches, didn't work.  I'm proud of you Congress. I know its going to a rough road ahead but I think you all will be up to the task.  Thank You.............................marge

I should have known much earlier.  Why would  the 'President' go to so many places where the people in these countries would then riot.  (Excepting Poland of course.)  Many lives are threatened by the mass chaotic violence when he shows up.  Then I realized.  He has always wanted to see how many millions of people would react to his presence.  Good or bad.  Didn't matter.  Just as long as he could actually see it.  He is sadist of the worst kind.  No matter how or why, he has to have his name out there on a daily basis.  If we could just get ALL the media stations to ignore him for two days, then all the good people could come out and cheer and the police could go about their normal duties.  I know.  Wishful thinking on my part..................marge

Let your children know.

WE don't like our children to see porn on TV or the internet.  We need to be there to help them understand what is good and acceptable and what is not.  They must watch some news to be made aware of how the Presidency is being run.  We must protect them from thinking today's politics is the norm. Make them aware that it is not the norm or acceptable behavior by those in the top chain of our government.  Trump for probably more than 60 years has watched and learned how to manipulate the business' and people involved in those business'.   Calling them 'tricks of the trade' is too simple an explanation.  People can be smart, clever, manipulative and know people and business inside and out.  The ones the children must be made aware of are those methods,  throughout history, that are not honorable.  There's the right way and the wrong way.  You know what they are.  It is your job to help your children understand the difference.  Don't be laid back about this.  You are responsible for future generations of children understanding and knowing what is right as you do.  Our children and the children of the world need us.  Let's be there.............................marge

Each and every one!

Every Senator, every Congressman (woman), must read The part of the U S Constitution which strongly states the Separation of Church and State!  Once, apparently isn't enough to get it through your thick skulls. Try three or four times, or more if necessary.  You knew, or should have, that you can't interject your personal religious beliefs into your decisions.  I would think that alone should void your election win.  You either have lied at the swearing in or chose to ignore which parts of the Constitution you don't like.  You legally CAN'T DO THAT!!  You have CHOSEN to break the law of our United States Constitution!...............marge

New Millionaire Murderers

Do the Drug Company executives not get it?  By their choices, thousands are probably dying a month or year while these executives are rapidly becoming MULTI millionaires.  Are they all made of Trump, Pence and Ryan's DNA's?  Why shouldn't they be prosecuted for causing death?  They really do know people can't afford their high prices.   How could they pretend otherwise and make ridiculous  excuses that are a direct cause for life saving drugs not being available to desperately ill  people.  I really truly don't get it.  No conscience, no shame. These executives and like thinking Republican counterparts are putting the USA  to complete shame.  I hope they all get their just desserts and soon.  We are running out of time.  Do we want to be part of the most shameful period in American History?

And his followers  both Republican AND Democrats.  Of course we mustn't leave out all the big business people whose only concern is self importance and money.  Does anyone really think he has brains?  He is their security blanket,  pure and simple.  If he goes down, so do they.  Wake up everyone.  Do you not care about the future of your children or grandchildren?  WE already know you don't care about all the starving children and their parents around the world.  Not our concern, right.  If there is a God, may you get what you justly deserve.....................marge

Dear Mr. Trump.

I truly hate to be the one to directly point this out to you, but someone has to.  Physically you've grown up to be a 'man' vs boy.  That however is as far as the powers that be, would let it go.  Someone, we don't know who, or for that matter why, stopped your maturing process in perhaps the seven to eight age group.  Forgive me preteens, no offense to you, I just picked an arbitrary younger age.  I can see how increasingly frustrated you have  become, almost on a day to day basis.  I don't think that's how you planned your life to go, but then none of us do.  I must say though, I do admire your stamina, weather rational or not.  Sometimes we even have no control over that.  Anyway.  I wish you only the best and may it happen sooner rather than later.  We're getting a little desperate out here (no offense meant)...............marge

I believe Trump is an up and working Russian futuristic Robot.  But then Americans soon will not be using Science, per Trump, so as expected, we will be sadly on our way to lagging rapidly behind in that area.  But as bad as that is, it's not the worst.  We, not too slowly, are seeing the Republican Senators being encapsulated into the same covert program as Trump.  To say you can't see it, would be less than truthful.  The phenomenon of what is happening desperately needs stopping.  Next, no question, they'll be going after member of the U.S. House of Representatives.  This whole scenario is so unbelievable that people don't!  This is not a nightmare we will be waking up from.  It is real!  At the rate we are going, soon we will be unrecognizable as the Proud Country we recently were.  If I knew how, I would send a copy of this to all the elected and appointed officials In D.C. and all the Governors of every state.  Can we be saved?..............................marge

All the people who surround him are there because that's how the Presidency work.  That is NOT how Trump works.  His final legacy to the world I'm not quite sure yet and I may never may be.  He has made it clear, He works alone.  Needs no one nor wants their opinions.  He is so domineering no one dare challenge him and that includes his wives and children.  Maybe the youngest one can be saved.  He seems to have his own drummer.  Trump is willing to give his life to be the conquering head of the whole world.  The rest of any of us be damned.  He will turn into a shriveled man, with a solid gold crown and throne,  all by himself with his smug pompous grin permanently in place.  amen...............................marge

A daughter's wisdom or not

It has been politely pointed out to me that the items I use to keep the squirrels  away from the bird feeders (2) perhaps isn't socially acceptable.  I live in a nice town with good people.  I tried the 'slinky' awhile back and must not have done it right.  I now have 70 year old tire painting protectors.  I put them up so they're sort of make a 'maze'.  Takes a lot to fool a squirrel.  I just recently concocted clear cookie boxes that by cutting in the right places, can be snapped shut on the pole.  My apologies to those I may have offended and I appreciate those who understand my goal.  I'm always looking for something more attractive and definitely more effective!.....................marge

The President's Cabinet

Is Trump such a  diabolical genius that he can fool thousands and keep getting away with it?  Although the cabinet members are all hand picked (he's no dummy) can not even one of them have even the smallest clue of the hole they've dug themselves into?  Do they really think someone is going to save them when Trump and Pence are taken down?  I don't think there's a legitimate company out there that would touch any of them with a ten foot pole,  make that a 100 foot pole.  They have ruined their integrity and any chance of finding any 'good' company to hire them. And you know what?  They will deserve everything they get, or more specifically, what they don't get.  they made their beds...................marge

Health care exclusions

There's this new 'Trump care program' Congress is trying to pass.  They tell us its a great improvement for the American people.  Better than Obama Care.  If you buy that, I have some low level land I want to sell to you at such a bargain price!  Now.  And this is important.  If it's such a wonderful deal, why have the Congressmen and Senators included a paragraph that exclusively excludes them?  Why do they not want to be a part of this 'wonderful Trump health care plan'?  Give it some serious thought, really serious.  Call or email them and ask them what 'THEIR' plan covers.  Then ask them how much they pay into it monthly.  You might be horribly surprised.  Don't ponder about it, ask them!  Truth will out............................marge

Trump is becoming critical to the world.

Time and time again, Trump gets away with murder in one form or another.  His cronies and Congress seem about as worthless as he.  He can't save face by resigning which leaves him little other choice or choices.  He cannot be changed.  He is what he is for all to see.  Apparently he survives the most on conflict.  Normal?  No.  But he knows no other way.  His wives it seems and definitely his children, are no different than he is.  I can't believe they are all unstoppable.  Are we just going to accept there will be no future generations for us?  You don't want that.  None of us do.  for all our sake, he must be stopped and now, really now.........................marge

Terribly sad

When someone, thinking their intentions are good, continually criticizes another, sadly cannot see that life doesn't work that way. They unknowingly are not happy with themselves and try to justify their own feelings of in adequateness. But to tell them is a dangerous and brave step. Betsy DeVos Destroying education

I hope, but seriously doubt that Ms DeVos will ever see or read what anyone writes about her.  That is heartbreaking.  She has no idea what the average families with school age children are facing.  Can't someone clue her in?  She really does not know, or even seem to care what public schoolkids face daily.  Does she really think children with physical or mental disabilities don't belong in some school program  or that these parents must find their own way to  pay?  Did she win so that only the top two % will reap her benefits?  What about the other 98%?  Do they count for nothing?  When she gets booed and must leave a public school by the back door with a police escort does that not tell you something?  She seem incapable of feeling shame or embarrassment about her views on public education.  That is more than pathetic.  That is gawd awful scary for these parents.  I suppose her 'gentle' smile must have some sort of hypnotic power in it.  It can't be her background in Public Education..............................marge

Betsy DeVos. Did any of her children attend Public Schools? No, not that I can tell. Was after she was selected to head the U.S. Board of Education the first time she ever set foot inside a Public School? It took the Vice President to be the swing vote to get her elected. Does that not tell us that 50% of congress didn't think she was qualified? Has she ever taught school? Not as far as I know. She is a dutiful millionaire housewife who has been active in business dealings. Is there anyone out there more qualified? I would say just about anybody. Flame throwers in war.

In WW 2, American soldiers In the South Pacific jungles I believe ,were probably saved by using Flame throwers against the Japanese soldiers who hid in caves among other places.  These flame throwers threw fire about 30 feet or so.  Anything in their way was burned to a crisp.  This included the Japanese soldiers.  If they didn't die instantly, then a slower death must have been agonizing.  I need to ask,  how this compares to poison gas and its victims?  Or is it fair to even to raise the question?................marge

I had given up but then said "no"!  I will however wait for warmer weather.  It should be here soon.  First I have to buy a new 'slinky'.  I cut the old one into several pieces (don't ask why) but it just isn't working.  Those squirrels are like the 'Wallendas".  Only squirrels are willing to twist their bodies and hang from their hind feet.  This makes it possible to use the front paws for stealing, yes stealing the special bird seed.  They have no shame.  Til next time.........................marge

I watched Coleman Young 11 being interviewed by a T V reporter. He's running against current Detroit Mayor, Mike Duggan. He appears to be a smart alecky young man who shoots his mouth off from the hip. I've never met either but judging from watching them, there is no comparison. The young man apparently lacks maturity. Instead of saying what he's hoping to accomplish, he bad mouths Mayor Duggan and refused the reporter's straight forward question. You have a lot of growing to do. You are starting to sound like that fellow who sits in the Oval Office in D.C. And one of those is rest assured, enough.................marge

Trump's response to the environment

As I watch the TV and hear what all Trump is reversing when it comes to the environment and our health, I feel sickened.  It doesn't just affect the USA, but the whole world.  Does his so called 'Cabinet' not see this?  Greed, not humanity has taken over.  As individuals, what can we do to stop this madness?  The 'anti' emails they must receive apparently do little good.  I feel we've reached some of them but that isn't enough.  If we are afraid of him and his 'crew' then we must stop, take a deep breath and change ourselves.  He is unchangeable.  He will continue to make changes and destroy any progress that we have made in the past years.  We must encourage our Congressmen to stand up and speak up.  If we individuals and Congress can't or won't do it, be prepared for the worst.  Waiting  four years is too late.  We need to do it now............................marge

"Trump' squirrels

I watch and try to listen to Trump as best I can.  Not easy to do.  He just keeps repeating the things he likes about himself on any and every  topic.  He is so full of 'Is' my listening goes bad. I've been noticing of late, his strong resemblance to the squirrels that have commandeered my bird feeder. They run all around the yard, even appearing to be chasing each other but I think that's a distraction to keep our minds off of the real problems we face.  They are as clever as Trump, or he them.  Your choice..................marge

Trump must have been hating Obama from the very beginning of his campaign to run for the Presidency of the U.S.A.  He hates Obama more than anyone in the world.  His sole purpose in running and winning, was to destroy anything and everything with Obama's name on it.  The  pride and respect everyone feel for the Obama family is Trump's only driving force.  Trump thinks power, is the same as respect.  In his attempts to prove it, he may destroy us all....................marge

I am truly scared by Donald and all his Cabinet members.  Have they been hypnotized, fed 'special' drinks, reacting to something put into the ventilation system?  If he is allowed to continue on this path, for even another day or two, the results could be disastrous, not just for the U.S but the whole world.  Surely important people realize this.  What is keeping them from stopping this mayhem?  Are the Republicans afraid they will lose their and their wives life long pensions?  Are these the selfish bastards we put where they are?  If not the money, are they all fearful of challenging Trump?  Is he that scary to them.  Then maybe they should realize he's that scary to the rest of the world.  In the name of the world we live in act and act now.  Time, I truly believe, is running out.  You are elected officials.  Do what you swore to do!...................marge

I lost my Senior Citizen Manual.

I need everyone's help.  Either I missed the day they handed out 'Senior Citizen Manual' or they don't make them and aren't handing them out.  Its a new scary time in our lives and we need all the help we can get.  As of late, I prefer sleeping in my Lazy Boy chair and half watching 'Tom and Jerry' on the
television.  The house rule, which has recently been extended to late a.m. is always in effect.  Don't call me before 11a.m.!  The phone rang.  It was a daughter.  I opened my eyes and looked at the clock.  It read 7:00.  I almost immediately started lecturing her on her untimeliness, thoughtlessness and anything else that briefly popped into my head.  Then, when I stopped to take a breath she chimed in,  "Mom, its 7:00 P.M.!"  Oh.  I said.  But are you really sure?  A short while later I called her back and apologized.  She is most forgiving.  I wasn't going to mention something else but feel I must.  Someone, when I'm not looking, keeps untying one of my shoes.  I  tend to trip over the laces so I wish you'd stop doing that, whomever you are...............................marge

The Republicans who stand silently and not so silently behind Trump may well cause our Country to go to Hell in a hand basket.  We've reached a critical point in the United States And Trump's supporters don't seem to realize it.  I've been watching these shows where young people go on a seemingly random shooting rage killing adults, teenagers and grade school children.  No one, apparently in every case, couldn't see it coming or chose not to see it as it was too unbelievable to see.  Republicans have been told by the best of the best that Trump is on an uncontrollable rampage.  Psychiatrists, highly respected long time Newsmen and other wise people have been trying to tell you.  You won't listen or take action.  Why?  Are you so proud to be a Republican that you are willing to sit by and watch our Country be systematically destroyed by this man and his 'chosen' cohorts?  Wake up.  It's getting to be too late.  See it.  Feel it.  Please...........................marge

Almost all states affected.

Alright.  I'm not a scientist but I recognize a mutant gene when I see the results of those infected.  It has become epidemic since this last fall.  If we don't find a way to treat, or kill it, our country is in trouble and we're half way there I'm afraid.  It is apparently quite contagious or its been laying dormant for some unknown reason until of late.  It's hitting men hardest it seems.  Doesn't matter whether they're educated or not or have a normal I.Q.  They just seem to succumb to it.  There may be a possible link between super ego people and those who until lately, didn't follow politics and have suddenly become experts.  Which also may be a symptom of this gene.  An actual vaccine against it may take awhile so we must act quickly and take important intermediary steps.  That may be our only hope at this point.  We'll start with contacting all the Republican Senators and their supporters you know.  This may be more important than you realize.  Start with not one, but several emails to everyone that it applies to.  Next, start making phone calls.  Lastly, get their addresses and send the mail with a stamp.   Yes.  There still is a post office.  I wish you God's speed.  Go get em!.....................marge  P.S.   They probably can't realize they're infected with this stupidfying condition (gene).

Time is running out Republican Congressmen.  The longer you take, the more the poison gets spewed.  It's time to get a 'backbone' or 'intestinal fortitude' as they say.  Your names will never be honored in history but they will be remembered.  Do the words 'guilt' or 'cowardice' ever enter you minds?  You have put a  'black mark' in the history of this great country.  Do you not understand what our future generations will have lost?  You are supposed to represent all the people all the time. Trump vs Canadian children

School children from Windsor, Ontario Canada were blocked by Canadian municipal leaders from visiting Detroit, Michigan USA.  Why"  The City's leaders couldn't take the chance that those that aren't blonde and blue eyed, might be pulled aside for interrogation and proof that they really are Canadians.  Not newer Canadians but with families that go back several generations.  Our President (and I use the word Loosely) and his Cabinet members and fellow tunneled visioned Republicans have turned our government upside down.  Is there not a Republican who understands this and is willing to put a stop to it?  Is their salary and permanent retirement funds more important than the Founding Fathers and our Constitution?  Let's not even mention losing all our freedoms.  I wish they could read my blog.  We may be going to Hell in a hand basket, sooner than we think.........................marge

I may have won the war

Or not.  My outdoor double plant holder has been my bird seed holder for several years now.  I put two different kinds of bird seed out.  The squirrels have a definite preference.  They only like the fancy bird blocks.  It has been an ongoing battle for about a year.  Vaseline on the pole worked for a long time.  Unfortunately the summer sun melts it away.  Hot red pepper sprinkled on the seeds was a pain.  Recently the good old fashioned 'slinky' was recommended.  The squirrels have managed to figure out the curly wires.  The black ones are a little smarter than the big brown ones.  Changing the ways and angles turned out to be only a stopgap measure.  Until today.  I say that hesitantly.  The day isn't over and I did get a late start.  WD 40, sprayed on the pole and curved parts staying away from the seeds of course.  A couple hours have gone by.  I know.  That's a really short time for a test.  So far, not one squirrel!  However, taking into account it is later in the day and quite cold, no birds either.  And yes.  I checked the ground.  No lifeless bodies.  Onward and upward.  I'll keep you posted!..........................marge

I can't believe it took me so long to figure out That Trump purposely studied and is emulating Kim Jong-un.  You have to give him credit for being slippery clever.  If Kim Jong-un can control a whole country with his total Narcissistic, sociopath personality, than so can Trump, according to Trump.  Are we really allowing this to happen?  Has he turned the Republican legislatures into a cowering group of people in a corner?  It IS happening.  We must all step up and challenge this totally self centered man, now.................................marge

Trump Just attacked young women and older citizens of our Country by two executive orders today.  Pence stood gleefully by loving it.  These two and I  presume other Republicans are the biggest threat to all of us.  They really are dangerous.  Moving to Canada is no joke anymore.  I am truly scared to death of these two.  We must not sit by and let them destroy us.  God help us all......................................marge

Public Education for our children is the most important accomplishment we can give to them.  So many depend on it so lets not punish children whose parents have less income.  Let's make public education the best there is.  They all deserve it and there's no reason we can't accomplish that.  Betsy DeVos does not seem to have any comprehension as to its importance.  She is most definitely NOT the best choice for Education Secretary of the U.S.  All children deserve a fair and equal chance at education.  They are our future.  Let's see that they get what they deserve.................................marge

Donald's father must have taught him 'never stop fighting'.  Oh I don't think Donald's father did it out of love, it was his way of telling his son, 'If you want my love and approval, you must do this'.  It's all about control, to both of them, the most important thing in life.  So win he did, but not by honest desire and effort.  Trump used any and all underhanded means that he knew.  He did it so blatantly, his supporters believed it all.  Couldn't possibly be lying, not that outspoken billionaire.  So win he did.  Now he's in a quandary.  How do I get out of this, without looking like the selfish, bigoted, intolerant man I am?  And please, don't think Pence will save us.  We're in serious trouble folks..............................marge

The extremely, fundamentalist, conservative Republicans are going to start a brand new Clinic for untimely or unwanted pregnancies.  They of course, will be the first ones to sign up for one of these babies.  I would expect nothing less.  Right?  If one of these moms to be can't afford to be a parent at this time, the Republicans will be right there ready and willing to step up to the plate.  What do you mean, "You don't think so".  With all the anti birth control 'good Christians' fighting to close these health clinics, I would expect no less.  There.  Problem solved.  That wasn't too hard was it?...............................marge
